On 19/09/1893 NZ women gained the right to vote
114 years NZ women have had the right to vote
Unfortunately I did not celebrate suffrage day formally, however, I believe the fact that I can wake up every morning and know that I have the ability and freedom to be anything I want to be is a testament to and celebration of the women who fought for the necessary changes in attitudes and laws that have enabled me these liberties!
